The debut of The X-Files revival is only months away, so it was high time the big wigs at Fox actually gave us a good look at Chris Carter's return to his magnum opus.
Given how many X-Files fans are still out there, and the return of David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson to the roles that made them famous, there was a lot riding -- for me at least -- on this full-length trailer for the limited TV series. Does it live up to the hype and anticipation?
Watch first, then I'll get back at yah:
Um, yes. Yes it does. I didn't think I'd get that excited for this six-episode event series, but I am now. This looks like everything the classic series -- which owned for the first five seasons and change, by the way -- was, but brought into our modern world. The fact Carter and company have promised that we'll get some monster-of-the-week episodes just makes me more excited.
The X-Files is back Sunday, Jan. 24, 2016, at 10 p.m. on Fox. Pumped!
And Anderson still looks fine, for the record.
