That's what the folks at Latino Review are saying, that sibling filmmaking duo Andy and Lana Wachowski are writing another trilogy in The Matrix franchise.
While there is nothing to substantiate the report, the belief is this could be a prequel trilogy explaining how the Matrix came to be. I do remember the Architect or Oracle mentioning to Neo that he wasn't the first "One," so hey, why not?
It's been a decade since The Matrix Revolutions came out, and Warner Bros. is a studio hurting for a franchise, especially when the last Hobbit movie lands next year. It makes sense they'd tap one of their most popular film series ever.
I'm not sold on the idea of a prequel. Prequels rarely work and often feel like a cash grab. Of course, most mainstream movies feel like a cash grab these days, so who am I to judge? What do you all think?
