Well, almost. Blu de Golyer's comedic horror-anthology web series Hillbilly Horror Show doesn't officially hit until tomorrow, but we thought we'd give you a gentle reminder in anticipation of the show's launch.
And yeah, yours truly got a sneak peek to make sure the premiere episode is Basement worthy. So is it, you ask?
Actually, yeah it is.
What we've got are four short horror flicks introduced by a trio of likeable hillbilly hosts in the form of Bo (Bo Keister), Cephus (Scott Geiter) and their hot cousin Lulu (the hot Rachel Faulkner). Think what Elvira did to late-night horror shows more than 20 years ago and you kinda get the idea, only with a redneck's touch.
As for the films, the first episode provides Franky and the Ant, Doppelgänger, Amused and The Nest. As with any anthology, some are better than others. Doppelgänger is by far the coolest, with some old-school special effects that would make Ray Harryhausen proud.
I don't want to say too much more, other than I enjoyed the hour-long stint into hillbillies, smokin' hot cousins and independent horror. I'm gonna watch it again so I can further digest all the stories, but Hillbilly Horror Show is certainly worth the $1.99 rental per episode.
Episodes are available via the Hillbilly Horror Show website. You can follow the antics of Bo, Cephus and Lulu on Facebook. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. The show's a Good.
