It has been five years since the disappearance of Katie and Hunter, and a suburban family witness strange events in their neighborhood when a woman and a mysterious child move in.
Paranormal Activity 4 performed the poorest of all the Paranormal Activity films, but that's not the movie's fault. It's actually pretty good. In fact, this entire series has been competently made and plotted out. And scary. Same holds true for this entry. There's some decent shorts shitting moments in the latest Paranormal Activity. Be warned, faint of heart.
That said, fatigue has set in for moviegoers, and even for this Paranormal Activity fan. Yes, Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman have crafted a decent flick. PA4 builds nicely on elements from the previous three entries. And you bet we get the hotness that is Katie Featherston and her glorious boobs. In fact, there's nothing wrong with this movie at all.
But, and this is a heavy but, if producer Jason Blum and series creator Oren Peli do a fifth film, and one is in the works, they need to wrap it all up and be done with it. I dig these movies a lot, and give this one a Good, but enough already.
I haven't watched any of the Paranormal movies because I'm afraid that if I do so, I won't be able to sleep for weeks on end. Anything to do with the paranormal gives me the heebie jeebies. I can't even drive past a cemetery without a mild panic attack.
