All good things must come to an end. In this case, it's our set reports from John Fallon's Montreal-based action movie Billy Trigger. This week we have a pair of one-on-one interviews with a couple of cast members.
First up is the beautiful and talented Meghan Gabruch, who plays Jinny, the daughter of main bad dude Fred "The Hammer" Williamson. Then we throwdown with Anderson Bradshaw, who stars as the lethal Ewan and provides the movie's fight and stunt choreography. These are a couple of lively and entertaining interviews for your ear holes. Promise!
And take note fans of Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren -- Bradshaw has fought them both!
As for the movies on the chopping block tonight, we've got a diverse double bill ready for the executioner's axe, starting with Rites of Spring.
The Basement's already paid its respects to writer/director Padraig Reynold's acclaimed horror movie. Given that we're interviewing the talented filmmaker next week, and his flick has just hit DVD/VOD/Blu-Ray, the Basement Boys figured it was time to give Rites of Spring some official love on the show. How does the movie hold up? Stick with us.
Then grab a pint of whiskey and a shot of your favourite ale for the next flick. No, wait. That should be the other way around. Ah, feck! Jason and Shawn head to Ireland for the horror/comedy Grabbers, which features blood-sucking aliens who are allergic to alcohol. Oh yeah, and there's humans who have to get drunk in order to avoid being killed. One of them's a hot Irish lass. She's in the pic above :)
So tune in at 10 p.m. PST at 92.5FM CFBX Kamloops and online at www.thex.ca. You can also follow along to the mad tweets of Mike S of The Corner of Terror on Twitter! It's radio that's too good to be radio.
To revisit Jason's written reports on Billy Trigger, check out part one, two, three and four.
Now for a look at tonight's fine entertainment
